What is ClusterD?

ClusterD is a cluster manager that provides efficient resource isolation and sharing across distributed applications, or frameworks. It can run workload on a dynamically shared pool of nodes, extending the core capabilities of Apache Mesos® with modern improvements.

This continues the legacy of Apache Mesos® under the name ClusterD, maintaining the community and ensuring security updates and features are available.

Project Details

Mission

ClusterD's mission is to carry Apache Mesos® forward as a secure, dependable, open cluster manager. The project preserves compatibility with established deployments while evolving for modern Linux and container workloads, giving framework-driven distributed systems a maintained foundation for efficient resource sharing.

With Version 1.11.0-0.6.0 CgroupsV2 is mandatory.

Project History
